PSMotion Ltd. was established in 2005 by Kevin Stamp and Adam Peacock. We were closely involved with Camlinks and were aware of its power and potential. Camlinks was first released in 1990 and had 4 major releases. George Rooney, who developed Camlinks, sadly died in 2004 just as George, Kevin and Adam had formed a new company, Camlinks Ltd.
We chose to start again with a new product specifically aimed at the Packaging Machinery Manufacturing and Design and Build markets.
We released MotionDesigner in 2006 and have since been developing MechDesigner.
To pay the bills, we have also developed several special purpose machines and assembly machines. Building machines kept us us up-to-date and maintained our knowledge of the best features machine design software should have. We have focused on the attribute all packaging machines have: movement. One difficulty when designing high-quality packaging machines is optimizing the many interacting synchronous axes. MechDesigner, we hope, goes a long way towards helping to design with this requirement at its core.
MechDesigner was released in March 2012 and now our thoughts are turning to developing the product further. Of course, we have many ideas and pet projects and it is important that our users, both current and potential, feedback to us features they would like to see in the product.
