Badger has been selling quality books to schools since 1989. Choosing the name around an old kitchen table, our founder, himself an ex teacher, identified a need for quality books across a range of publishers to resource primary school book corners and libraries. Teachers were restricted by time, and sometimes experience, but wanted to be able to buy a variety of reading books from one reliable source. So the Badger Reading Box was born. Starting with just four general reading boxes for infants and juniors, the boxes rapidly grew to offer a diverse range of over a hundred different boxes each year from Early Years to Key Stage 4.
Our Reading Boxes, the original and the best, proved very popular and Badger built a reputation for quality and service. After establishing itself as a key supplier to schools, in 2001 Badger diversified into educational publishing, thus Badger Publishing was born. Starting from scratch, the company gradually built a well respected list across the curriculum in both the primary and secondary sectors. Over the last decade Badger has established a reputation in particular for primary literacy resources and secondary science. Our innovative titles offer schools quality pupil and teacher support.
On so to the present with our new name of Badger Learning! Introduced to reflect what Badger has become over the last 23 years a supplier of quality educational resources which support teachers and inspire pupils to learn.
Badger Learning continues to be focused on what it does best: interpreting the curriculum, understanding teacher/ pupil needs and supplying resources that will provide appropriate support and inspiration.
